Providing histology services to the research community


Mission:
The Nonprofit Histology Core Facility serves as a support core facility for the research community in the State of Nevada.

Partial support for this facility is provided by the Nevada IDEA Networks for Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) award from the NCRR. Users of our services should cite 2 P20 RR016463 in all publications and grant proposals. We offer a 50% an additional discount to investigators in INBRE.

Under the direction of Yupo Ma M.D., M.S., Ph.D. and Louis Fink M.D., we offer histology services such as paraffin embedding tissue into blocks, cutting/sectioning of blocks, H&E and special staining, Frozen Sections, Immunohistochemisty staining, double staining, In-situ hybridization, generation of tissue arrays as well as high quality digital capturing of microscopic images.
