Cancer Care Navigators/Educators
Patient Navigators/Educatorsat the Nevada Cancer Institute understand that a cancer diagnosis is overwhelming and frightening, whether it happens to us or a loved one. Once a person is diagnosed with cancer, the individual will experience an unfamiliar world with a language all of its own. The Nevada Cancer Institute's caring staff strives to help create understanding through thoughtful and tailored support and navigation to community resources, programs and social services.
The Nevada Cancer Institute's Cancer Care Navigators are trained professionals who help you identify screening needs, locate services convenient to you, and answer your questions. Our specially-trained nurses and navigators are there with you, providing you with support and information during this difficult time.
Assistance includes:
• Referrals to Programs and Specialized Clinical Services, such as, medical financial assistance, counseling and support, cancer information and education, and insurance matters
• Home Health Care
• Adaptive Devices, such as, walkers, wheel chairs, oxygen, wigs, prosthesis, etc.
• Hospice
• Transportation
• Language Translation Services
• Utility and Rental Assistance
• Clinical Trials Information
• Complementary Therapy Programs
